What, or who, are you substituting for God in your life? And how’s it working out for you?
There’s a good reason we call God, Savior. Savior means somebody who saves us—the implication being that we need to be saved; saved from our sins and self-centeredness.
If I asked you to spell sin—you’d likely say, s-i-n.
Well I spell it S-E-L-F. Self. Self absorbed. Self-centered.
Me first.
But God comes along and He says, “I want to be the epicenter of your life. I want to save you from your SELF.
What’s at the center of your life right now?
When Jesus died on the cross, He took your imperfections, assigned them to Himself and paid a dear price for it.
And He wants to be at the center.
And when He is—it makes all the difference!
