The apostle Paul put it pretty bluntly in his letter to the Corinthian church in 2nd Corinthians 10, verses 4 and 5: He said:
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.
On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God and”. . .here’s the key phrase. . .
“we take captive and make them obedient to Christ.”
You have the ability to control your thought life. We all do.
But it takes discipline, understanding the work power of the Holy Spirit in your life, and the importance of God’s strength in your weakness.
Every thought captive. Every thought obedient to Christ.
It’s the mark of a maturing believer!
